Patchou has just released version 4.82 of his popular Windows Live messenger add-on: Messenger plus! Live.
Official Announcement
Version 4.82 will probably be one of the last of the 4th generation of Messenger Plus! as work on version 5 will officially begin during summer.
This version is even more compatible with Windows 7 than before, one example of that is the tighter integration of Tabbed Chats with the new Aero preview thumbnails. Further imnprovements are that the Import/Export feature of Messenger Plus! now back-ups your entire scripts and skins settings. For a full list of the changes, check out the Change log
Besides this new release Patchou also revealed that the 2009 contest will start next week. To participate in this contest you will of course need Plus!Live version 4.82, so go get it now!

Long time no post about Windows Live Messenger, time for an update.
First some error messages:
810003c1: We were unable to sign you in to the .NET Messenger Service
This happens if you are in Cuba, Syria, Iran, Sudan or North Korea. Microsoft has shut off the Windows Live Messenger IM for users there as these countries are under US embargo.

Messenger Plus! has turned 8! Patchou is already working on the next update and started considering what version 5.0 will be like. He also announced that the the contest organized this year will be the biggest to date and the theme will be animation, movies and video games (which will fit perfectly with the yearly Fantasia Festival sponsoring).
