It’s been a while since I’ve update all of you on my exercise results. Training routine has changed a lot (I have another instructor now too, since previous one found a better job elsewhere) and includes exercises on the Power Plate now. That includes exercises for the abs…with a half ball thingo placed on the plate, very heavy exercises! It may look like nothing when you see someone train on the Power Plate but believe me, it’s harder/heavier than you think. Besides that, my routine of course still includes a cardio part and muscle strengthening (power training) on those machines. I still work out 3x a week too.
Now for the results. The second week of November I got a new schedule, starting point was a weight of 86,7 kg, condition reasonable (25) and a fat percentage of 42,4%. Last Friday it all got measured/tested again and I now weigh 89,4 kg, my condition is still reasonable (26, slight improvement) and a fat percentage of 42,6%.
Yep, I got heavier! Now it isn’t my intention to get heavier, in fact I wish to loose some weight (I’m 1.76 m tall, for those who wish to calculate my BMI), though you can’t see I’m that heavy…most I tell can’t believe it as I don’t look half as chubby as most of that weight. However not all is bad, as you notice the fat percentage is practically the same as when I started out this new schedule…so that means the weight I gained is muscle mass, not fat! That makes me happy as I feared it would be the Christmas dinner and oliebollen on New Year’s eve that made me heavier. More muscles burn more calories so I guess I’m going in the right direction, be it not as fast as I’d hoped. I’m not into crash diets either, those are bad! I’ll just continue and continue and continue and will be at my desired weight in the end….
