Christmas Fair 2008
Posted on: December 16, 2008
Last weekend I went to the local Christmas Fair (Kerstmarkt). I have to get out sometimes too, right? There were several stands at the Fair and it was combined with the week market (there’s always market on Saturday). The Fair lasted for 3 days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I went on Saturday as the program of that day sounded most appealing to me: there was acoustic music by The Tailgators! They were truly awesome, their repertoire is a mix of ballads, rock & roll , folk, bluegrass, blues and country. I recorded one of the songs they sang/played that day. Please forgive the shaking as it was freezing cold that day (around 0 degrees Celsius), imagine keeping your mobile phone slightly above your head in such temperatures….brr….here’s the result:
Both the pictures and the video were made with my mobile phone, a Sony Ericsson C902. Enjoy!

Even though I blog in English, it is not my native language. My native language is Frisian. What, Frisian…aren’t you Dutch? Yes, I’m Dutch but also Frisian. Bi-lingual by Birth
For all those who do not know how Frisian sounds, or are just plain curious, here’s a clip:
This song is used by Omrop Fryslân during this Summer (Summer hit 2008).
Why do I blog in English? Simple really, it’s THE International Language!
