Coming soon: Messenger Plus! Live 4.50

It's been in beta testing for some time already, but now the time has come for this beta tester to tell you about this new version!
Where to begin, ohh where to begin? Hmm well let's start at the beginning, besides the new look...there's...

The installer/uninstaller
As always installing the sponsor is optional and nothing is checked by default. And if you didn't know already the sponsor can be easily uninstalled without uninstalling/reinstalling Plus! Live through add/remove programs (Vista: Programs and features). The big difference from previous versions lies in the uninstaller: it now has a repair function! If any problem you can reset/disable scripts, remove skin customisations and reset user preferences (current account only) simply by going to add/remove programs (Vista: Programs and features), selecting Messenger Plus! and choose Repair on the following screen:




On to the new features, gonna highlight a few of them here.

Event notifications in conversations
(Plus > Preferences > Conversations > Main)
Status changes, PSM changes etc. don't miss out on them anymore, display them in the information area (where you also see "user is typing") in the conversation screen.



Quick Icons
(Plus > Preferences > Conversations > Quick Icons)
You can now select multiple emoticons to put in your custom panel. Not only is it possible to sort the emoticons any way you want inside that panel (select icon and use the Up and Down arrow buttons) but you can also sort the panels how you want them (notice the Up and Down arrow buttons there too).



Chat Logs
(Plus > Preferences > Conversations > Chat Logging)
Logs can now be separated by account.

Chat log encryption
(Plus > Preferences > Conversations > Logs Encryption)
Are you one of those who keeps forgetting passwords? Fear no more, now you can record a password hint in your encrypted (new or re-encrypted) log files! This hint will be visible after a wrong password has been entered to anybody who tries to open your chat log so make sure the hint will only make sense to you.

Log viewer
(Plus > Chat Log Viewer)
You can now search your logs easier with the "search in all logs.." button. Also new here is the print preview option.



Custom Sounds
Random sounds can now also be imported directly from the Sound Library window (Plus > Sound Library). Want to make a soundpack out of all those collected sounds but you do not wish to include them all? Finding the ones you do want inthere has now been made easier with the new Name Filter in the Export wizard.



Auto Accept Requests
(Plus > Preferences > Conversations > Main)
New filters: "send webcam" and "view webcam".

Script Editor
All you Plus! Script authors are gonna love this: not only can you display debug info right in the editor window, but you also got the option to show line numbers (and jump to them directly) and outlining. And to top it off, it now has Intellisense!




And last but not least i want to highlight:

Messenger skinning
Always wanted to change the look of Messenger and don't want to use a hardpatch skin? Now you can create your own without modifying any file of Messenger itself. Clear documentation on this new exciting feature is available directly from the skinning section in Plus! preferences (Plus > Preferences > Customize! >Skins).



Not that creative? You can still change the look by downloading and installing one of the skinpacks from the database (as you are probably used to already with Plus! Scripts). Want to change looks frequently? No problem, you can have several skins installed. Yours truly is also working on a skin as you might have noticed already in the previous screenshot. Excited about this new Plus!Live version already? You have to wait just an itty bit longer as we are finetuning the last bits. Estimated time of release: first week of December.
